We have ordered from the sooke location a few times but the last time was awful. I didn't want pizza so I ordered pizza for the kids and pasta for the adults. This was the worst pasta I have ever eaten. Even the pizza was lacking to the point our kids didn't finish a slice. To hit and miss for us and I would never recommend the pasta.

We just ordered take out from this place for the first time last night and tried the ham and pineapple and taco pizza.... WoW it was so good! The taco pizza was like actually having tacos on pizza night ) ) The girl behind the counter was super friendly as well. Two thumbs up.

The "meatlovers sauce" is the same pizza sauce that we make fresh every day and put on all of our pizzas. If it is too spicy for your taste may I suggest you try one of our other optional sauces? Short answer is, it doesn't.
True two for one pricing would have us charge customers the same for one pizza as two. I suppose we are guilty of not adhering to that. Our customers who only order one pizza would NOT be happy with that!
In an effort to try and keep as many customers happy as possible we offer a "Half Order" on our menu. This offers a discount if you only want one pizza. If you were to call around you would find this to be a common practice.
In your example you have taken the discounted Half Order price and then added a second pizza. Bottom line is there is no free lunch. It cost's us more to produce two medium pizzas than the Half Order menu price.
No independant pizzeria that uses high quality cheese and ingredients could sell two medium pizzas for $15.95 and stay in business. I hope this has answered your question? If not, please feel free to call me on my cell at 250-893-8853 Clive.
I have ordered from the Langford location several times and been impressed but last time was just terrible. The pizza was quick and hot however the the teriyaki chicken pizza I ordered came with almost no chicken on it and what little chicken was on it seemed to have been salvaged from their chicken wings. Not impressed and definitely not worth the 18$ it came to with tax for a small.

Wow Clive...it seems you have an answer for everything. Like I said, it's no biggie cause every other pizza shop in the Westshore WILL deliver to us. I think you need to realize that "your" pizza isn't so special when there is more than one competitor.
We love pizzability. We live in Colwood and we would actually drive out to Sooke to pick up pizza. So glad there is one in Langford now!! just wish they had a gluten free crust option so our whole family can enjoy it along with gluten free pepperoni!! I hope they can add these options to their menu so we can start ordering weekly again.

Really appreciate your comments. We look at the gluten free thing every couple of months. The problem we come up against is that to offer a TRUE gluten free pizza ( many establishments state gluten free, in reality many are actually gluten reduced!) would require us to inventory a whole new range of toppings, crust etc etc. This would in turn greatly increase refigeration equipment requirement's,food inventory, strict cross contamination policies etc etc.
The additional cost's at this point make it prohibitive.
That said, we are looking at offering a gluten free crust only, again there would have to be an additional charge, hopefully this will help??
Sorry, this is for the Langford Pizzability. We ordered a small Meat pizza and asked to substitute Italian Sausage for Pineapple and a small Florentine pizza. 2 for 1, although there was $2 difference in the price of each pizza we were charged the average of the two costs. For once in this world a very fair deal. When the pizza arrived Pineapple was not substituted for Italian Sausage and I felt a little let down. The Meat Lovers pizza was jam packed full of meat and the spice was tasty, shame about the Pineapple.
We had your pizza for the fist time and it was greatm tryed to order it again using the phone number on the debit reciept with no answerm(Clive Brown the owners cell no answer) you may want to change that number Cause we ended up ordering from elsewere

I am a critic in the local area and write many of commentaries for travel and tourism magazines.
I called ahead so that my wait would be minimal. When I arrived I found out my order was lost and then they were going to remake it. I waited a few minutes and then the man behind the counter(later I found it was the owner Clive Brown) received a phone call. I thought nothing of it. I saw some pizzas being made and thought one of them was mine and it definately would be fresh. Instead ten minutes later a driver returned from a delivery. The owner got the pizza from the delivery driver and handed it to me. The box was crushed and it was cold. I told him this was unacceptable! He advised they were too busy to remake the pizza and for me to be on my way!
I was disappointed both by the service and the cold pizza tasted like cardboard. Where has the customer service gone in this world? Steer clear of this place, if not run!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really sorry you called after we take our last delivery order.
Last delivery order on a Friday/Saturday is at 9:20. Last pick-up order is at 9:35. We are open until 10pm to allow the last minute pick-up customers time to arrive. Weekdays are an hour earlier... ( 8:20 last delivery order, 8:35 last pick-up, open until 9pm...)
The suggestion to try Andys was given so as to try and help you.
Do not understand why this was out of line? Just like he tell's customers that are outside of his delivery area to give us a call, we tell customers to give him a try for later orders. We both look upon this as good customer service.
I personally appreciate it when I am given other options by an employee of a business that is unable to help me.... You are more than welcome to call me on my cell 250-893-8853 if you feel I haven't answered your concern, Clive.
I love your pizza. If you delivered late on Friday and Saturday nights, I am sure you would get alot of business. There is no-one delivering food late on the weekends. It might take a while to get the word out..but when it did your phone would ring off the hook. Think it over.

I have ordered from both pizza places in Sooke. I am not inclined to knock one, but I will always order from pizzability There is no comparison, they are not even in the same game.
Every time I order I think, I am sure it will have less this time and it never does. Consistent quality in the pizza. As good as Bella pizza was back in the day in Vancouver. Best pizza on the island in my experience, generous in their substitution policy. Highly recommend.
Wings are good, and a fair price.

We love your pizza! We are regular customers. We ordered 4 x $8 pizzas, which we picked up, my daughter is a vegetarian. When she arrived home, we noticed there was an error, we received 4 pizzas with meat. We called to report, no problem, a new pizza was delivered, we live in Saseenos. Both the customer service representative who answered the phone and the delivery driver were nothing but courteous and hospitable. Cheers!
I ordered a pizza and a lasagna. I opened the lasagna and the round tin foil container (the typical round container used by all pizza and Chinese restaurants) was half full. I called and they said the lasagna probably settled however it was over a centimeter from the rim at the top. They then asked what I would like to be done about this and I said I would like a full container of lasagna or my money back. I did not want to pay 12.50 for a half full container of lasagna. I have ordered lasagna from many pizza places and this is the first place that delivered a half full lasagna container and tried to use an excuse that the lasagna settled. There needs to be some quality control before product leave for delivery to a customer. Needless to say, no one was able to eat dinner together as some ate pizza and some had to wait for a new lasagna. The second lasagna arrived (very nice delivery guy) however the dish was still not full. I will never order from pizzability again. The quality in Sooke should be number one, however it obviously isn't. Sad, very sad.

Sorry that we could not keep you happy. We make the lasagnas exactly the same as we always have. We build our lasagnas to order, the cheese is last thing to go on and is always above the top of the pan when it goes in oven. Any more and it would melt over the sides and make it impossible to put the lid on.
Yes, when they come out of oven they have "shrank" or settled and are typically a half to a full centimetre below the lid.
Our pastas are designed to be a single serving.
We sent you a second lasagna at no charge, don't know what else we could have done?
OK you impressed us! We ordered earlier tonight fully expecting to be told No we can't deliver, or that it would take a long time...(The snow hit hard today!)...pizza arrived hot in about half an hour and was damn good! Thanks guys!

I live in Sooke and order from both, however for the family meal, which includes a 3 topping pizza, I attempted to order a 1/2 plain pepperoni and 1/2 pep plus 2 topping pizza and they refused. The service is crap and Andys is way better anyways. Do not order, they were rude to a return customer and I was asking for less not more. You do the math...

To explain... We will make just about any combination you request, however, the family meals are a reduced price package deal. As is common practice there are no substitutions/changes allowed on a "special". To prepare, cook and cut a half and half pizza requires extra time = labour = cost. Thus we can not include this in a family meal. We are more than happy to offer this on any regular priced pizza at a nominal $1 charge.

Have ordered several times at Pizzability and haven't had anything short of delicious, generous pizzas. Although I only order for pick-up, I have not had to wait longer than 30 min before it was in my hands and on its way home. Big fan of the Hot and Sweet, BBQ Chicken and Cheeseburger. Even though I'm generally not a fan of vegetarian pizzas, Pizzability still managed to satisfy. Through consistent quality and generous toppings, and a taste that is their own, I am glad I have a local pizza place I can call to to satisfy my pizza fix.

I ordered pizza with the whole wheat crust, ribs and a caesar salad on your website. I liked the idea that I could add extras to the pizza, and delete the croutons off my caesar salad. The pizza was awesome, I've tried whole wheat crusts at other pizza places and it was tasteless, I love your crust! I cazn't believe I've lived in Sooke for 12 years, and never tried your pizza. We've ordered from another pizza place in Sooke, it was not only expensive but the food was horrible. Your driver was nothing but professional and courteous which is another plus for you. The only thing I was disappointed in was that my salad came in a styrafoam container, I believe in using green products. I do sell green alternatives, like cutlery, cups, clamshells, etc. but thats not why I am raving about your food. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you!

We agree that this is wonderful pizza but we are getting tired of waiting over an hour for a delivery (And we have tried calling earlier or later). It's all very well to have the phone staff call and tell us that it's going to be longer, but the fact is an hour and a half is too long. They need more drivers or staff, something's got to change.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately it seems like you must order at our peak times? Friday and Saturday between 5 and 7:30 , hockey night etc can all be insanely busy. With very few exceptions, any other time should see delivery times averaging 40 minutes according to our point of sale system.As we choose to make every order from scratch ( no pre assembled pizzas waiting for orders) when we get literally 30 orders within 15 minutes we simply cannot build and cook them any quicker!
As of this Friday we have increased our drivers during the peak times. I hope this helps lower the delivery time? Thank you for your business, Clive.

We are new to Sooke and tryed both pizza places...by far go to Pizzabillity! It was hot and very tasty. The phone girl was so good with ideas and help too.
We ordered last night took hr and half for us to get our food. Then we start eating it and the pizza looks burned they chicken was stringing. Pizza overcooked it was dry and no sauce. I would say far from the best in sooke.

Its worth the wait. Sometimes we have to wait a while to get a delivery (mostly at five to six oclock) but it sure is good. They claim to use better quality toppings. I am sure they do as it is very tasty.

Wow Clive...it seems you have an answer for everything. Like I said, it's no biggie cause every other pizza shop in the Westshore WILL deliver to us. I think you need to realize that "your" pizza isn't so special when there is more than one competitor.

We love pizzability. We live in Colwood and we would actually drive out to Sooke to pick up pizza. So glad there is one in Langford now!! just wish they had a gluten free crust option so our whole family can enjoy it along with gluten free pepperoni!! I hope they can add these options to their menu so we can start ordering weekly again.

Really appreciate your comments. We look at the gluten free thing every couple of months. The problem we come up against is that to offer a TRUE gluten free pizza ( many establishments state gluten free, in reality many are actually gluten reduced!) would require us to inventory a whole new range of toppings, crust etc etc. This would in turn greatly increase refigeration equipment requirement's,food inventory, strict cross contamination policies etc etc.
The additional cost's at this point make it prohibitive.
That said, we are looking at offering a gluten free crust only, again there would have to be an additional charge, hopefully this will help??
Sorry, this is for the Langford Pizzability. We ordered a small Meat pizza and asked to substitute Italian Sausage for Pineapple and a small Florentine pizza. 2 for 1, although there was $2 difference in the price of each pizza we were charged the average of the two costs. For once in this world a very fair deal. When the pizza arrived Pineapple was not substituted for Italian Sausage and I felt a little let down. The Meat Lovers pizza was jam packed full of meat and the spice was tasty, shame about the Pineapple.

I am a critic in the local area and write many of commentaries for travel and tourism magazines.
I called ahead so that my wait would be minimal. When I arrived I found out my order was lost and then they were going to remake it. I waited a few minutes and then the man behind the counter(later I found it was the owner Clive Brown) received a phone call. I thought nothing of it. I saw some pizzas being made and thought one of them was mine and it definately would be fresh. Instead ten minutes later a driver returned from a delivery. The owner got the pizza from the delivery driver and handed it to me. The box was crushed and it was cold. I told him this was unacceptable! He advised they were too busy to remake the pizza and for me to be on my way!
I was disappointed both by the service and the cold pizza tasted like cardboard. Where has the customer service gone in this world? Steer clear of this place, if not run!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolute fabrication. Firstly I have not been on location behind
the counter in Sooke for a few weeks. Secondly I/we would NEVER tell a
customer who was not satisfied that we were too busy to remake
their order.
When we make a mistake, which we do !, we ALLWAYS ask the customer
what they would like us to do to fix it. Period.

Well its a Sat. and its 935 and Pizzability is our regular delivery and I was told that they don't want to send their delivery person after 930 and we were too late. I was then told to call Andy's to get delivery??? Wow! I can't believe that you would treat your regular customers like that? I guess I'll think about who to call the next time since I am getting delivery from Sooke 2for1 .

Really sorry you called after we take our last delivery order.
Last delivery order on a Friday/Saturday is at 9:20. Last pick-up order is at 9:35. We are open until 10pm to allow the last minute pick-up customers time to arrive. Weekdays are an hour earlier... ( 8:20 last delivery order, 8:35 last pick-up, open until 9pm...)
The suggestion to try Andys was given so as to try and help you.
Do not understand why this was out of line? Just like he tell's customers that are outside of his delivery area to give us a call, we tell customers to give him a try for later orders. We both look upon this as good customer service.
I personally appreciate it when I am given other options by an employee of a business that is unable to help me.... You are more than welcome to call me on my cell 250-893-8853 if you feel I haven't answered your concern, Clive.
I love your pizza. If you delivered late on Friday and Saturday nights, I am sure you would get alot of business. There is no-one delivering food late on the weekends. It might take a while to get the word out..but when it did your phone would ring off the hook. Think it over.

I have ordered from both pizza places in Sooke. I am not inclined to knock one, but I will always order from pizzability There is no comparison, they are not even in the same game.
Every time I order I think, I am sure it will have less this time and it never does. Consistent quality in the pizza. As good as Bella pizza was back in the day in Vancouver. Best pizza on the island in my experience, generous in their substitution policy. Highly recommend.

We love your pizza! We are regular customers. We ordered 4 x $8 pizzas, which we picked up, my daughter is a vegetarian. When she arrived home, we noticed there was an error, we received 4 pizzas with meat. We called to report, no problem, a new pizza was delivered, we live in Saseenos. Both the customer service representative who answered the phone and the delivery driver were nothing but courteous and hospitable. Cheers!

I ordered a pizza and a lasagna. I opened the lasagna and the round tin foil container (the typical round container used by all pizza and Chinese restaurants) was half full. I called and they said the lasagna probably settled however it was over a centimeter from the rim at the top. They then asked what I would like to be done about this and I said I would like a full container of lasagna or my money back. I did not want to pay 12.50 for a half full container of lasagna. I have ordered lasagna from many pizza places and this is the first place that delivered a half full lasagna container and tried to use an excuse that the lasagna settled. There needs to be some quality control before product leave for delivery to a customer. Needless to say, no one was able to eat dinner together as some ate pizza and some had to wait for a new lasagna. The second lasagna arrived (very nice delivery guy) however the dish was still not full. I will never order from pizzability again. The quality in Sooke should be number one, however it obviously isn't. Sad, very sad.

Sorry that we could not keep you happy. We make the lasagnas exactly the same as we always have. We build our lasagnas to order, the cheese is last thing to go on and is always above the top of the pan when it goes in oven. Any more and it would melt over the sides and make it impossible to put the lid on.
Yes, when they come out of oven they have "shrank" or settled and are typically a half to a full centimetre below the lid.
Our pastas are designed to be a single serving.
We sent you a second lasagna at no charge, don't know what else we could have done?
OK you impressed us! We ordered earlier tonight fully expecting to be told No we can't deliver, or that it would take a long time...(The snow hit hard today!)...pizza arrived hot in about half an hour and was damn good! Thanks guys!

I live in Sooke and order from both, however for the family meal, which includes a 3 topping pizza, I attempted to order a 1/2 plain pepperoni and 1/2 pep plus 2 topping pizza and they refused. The service is crap and Andys is way better anyways. Do not order, they were rude to a return customer and I was asking for less not more. You do the math...

To explain... We will make just about any combination you request, however, the family meals are a reduced price package deal. As is common practice there are no substitutions/changes allowed on a "special". To prepare, cook and cut a half and half pizza requires extra time = labour = cost. Thus we can not include this in a family meal. We are more than happy to offer this on any regular priced pizza at a nominal $1 charge.

We were lucky enough to order from Pizzability this summer. The only down side is we live in Langford and wont eat pizza now unless we go to Sooke. Its THAT good.

Have ordered several times at Pizzability and haven't had anything short of delicious, generous pizzas. Although I only order for pick-up, I have not had to wait longer than 30 min before it was in my hands and on its way home. Big fan of the Hot and Sweet, BBQ Chicken and Cheeseburger. Even though I'm generally not a fan of vegetarian pizzas, Pizzability still managed to satisfy. Through consistent quality and generous toppings, and a taste that is their own, I am glad I have a local pizza place I can call to to satisfy my pizza fix.

I ordered pizza with the whole wheat crust, ribs and a caesar salad on your website. I liked the idea that I could add extras to the pizza, and delete the croutons off my caesar salad. The pizza was awesome, I've tried whole wheat crusts at other pizza places and it was tasteless, I love your crust! I cazn't believe I've lived in Sooke for 12 years, and never tried your pizza. We've ordered from another pizza place in Sooke, it was not only expensive but the food was horrible. Your driver was nothing but professional and courteous which is another plus for you. The only thing I was disappointed in was that my salad came in a styrafoam container, I believe in using green products. I do sell green alternatives, like cutlery, cups, clamshells, etc. but thats not why I am raving about your food. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you!

Approx June 21st/2010 we will be moving to 6703 West Coast Rd, (Above Whiskers & Waggs at the corner of Sooke Rd and Otter Point Rd). Still right downtown, easier access. Same great ingredients, same staff plus more, more room, bigger better high tech oven, hopefully quicker service with even higher quality/consistency. Very sorry that we could not deliver when you wanted. As you mentioned, this was a play off game night. When we are that busy we have no choice other than to stick to our posted delivery time cut off. We do take pick up orders up to 8:40...Clive.
We agree that this is wonderful pizza but we are getting tired of waiting over an hour for a delivery (And we have tried calling earlier or later). It's all very well to have the phone staff call and tell us that it's going to be longer, but the fact is an hour and a half is too long. They need more drivers or staff, something's got to change.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately it seems like you must order at our peak times? Friday and Saturday between 5 and 7:30 , hockey night etc can all be insanely busy. With very few exceptions, any other time should see delivery times averaging 40 minutes according to our point of sale system.As we choose to make every order from scratch ( no pre assembled pizzas waiting for orders) when we get literally 30 orders within 15 minutes we simply cannot build and cook them any quicker!
As of this Friday we have increased our drivers during the peak times. I hope this helps lower the delivery time? Thank you for your business, Clive.

Just visiting relatives in Sooke. They kept raving about your pizza so we ordered. They were right! Absolutely fantastic. Cooked to a nice golden colour instead of most places that serve undercooked soggy white pizza. Wish we had a Pizzability in Richmond.
